Gordon Rausser is currently the Robert Gordon Sproul Distinguished Professor, University of California, Berkeley. He co-founded LECG, Inc., and the Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Policy Reform, and served as Director of the former (1989–2000) and President of the latter (1989–1996). He has taught economics and statistics at many prestigious universities and served as Dean of the College of Natural Resources at the University of California at Berkeley (1994–2000). While on leave from Berkeley, Dr. Rausser served as senior economist on the President’s Council of Economic Advisors in the late 1980s and subsequently as chief economist of the U.S. Agency for International Development from 1988 to 1990. He is a fellow of the American Agricultural Economics Association (1990), American Statistical Association (1991) and American Association for the Advancement of Science (1993).
