The Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) invites UC Berkeley faculty to submit proposals for possible inclusion in its application to the U.S. Department of Education for renewal of its status as a Title VI National Resource Center for the AY 2018–2022 period.

Please note that the U.S. Department of Education has not yet issued a 2018-22 Request for Proposals. General information about the Title VI program can be found at http://www2.ed.gov/programs/iegpsnrc/index.html.

The CMES encourages proposals with interdisciplinary themes and collaboration of faculty across different departments. Title VI funds cannot be used to support student travel, general research (except conferences or workshops), or entertainment. Project budgets may be multi-year, and should not exceed $20,000 for the four-year (2018–2022) cycle.
