Bio/CV:
Laila Riazi is a doctoral student in the Department of Comparative Literature pursuing a Designated Emphasis in Critical Theory. She studies the cultural politics of Third Worldism in the Middle East through poetry and visual art.
Laila works in English, French, Arabic, and Persian. She is an award-winning translator and previously served as co-organizer of the Townsend Center working group on Psychoanalysis, editor for Qui Parle, and assistant to the Berkeley Psychoanalytic Society.
