Basit Kareem Iqbal

Basit Kareem Iqbal is a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology and the Program in Critical Theory. His dissertation analyzes the charitable practices of Muslim relief workers and refugees in Jordan and Canada in the wake of the Syrian civil war. As a Stevens Scholar, he will conduct the final fieldwork for his dissertation in Amman and north Jordan.
