Integrative Biology

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley. My research currently focuses on the origins, evolution, and conservation of the Bilad Al-Sham flora, an understudied biodiversity hotspot threatened by climate change and urbanization. My dissertation assesses the biodiversity of the region through an evolutionary lens with the goal of identifying important conservation areas. Throughout my career, I aim to continue to advance evolutionary, ecological, and conservation research in the broader MENA region.
