Suher Adi is a fourth-year undergraduate student at UC Berkeley majoring in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. She has served as a research assistant for a report titled “No Safe Space: Health Consequences of Tear Gas Exposure Among Palestine Refugees” published by the UC Berkeley Human Rights Center. Suher is also currently working with a Post-Doctorate as a research assistant on a qualitative study on Syrian refugee women’s experiences. She has spent time in Palestine and other parts of the region the past two summers as a student diplomat and fellow for various programs. As a 2018 Stevens Scholar, Suher traveled to Palestine to conduct research for her senior thesis, which focuses on the interplay between gender-informed group identity, labor formations, political preferences, and the role of women in Palestinian society.
