Omran Dweik is a second-year undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley studying applied mathematics and economics. As a first generation Palestinian-American, Omran is a passionate activist for Palestinian self-determination, participating in clubs such as Bears for Palestine and organizing outreach efforts in his hometown of Houston, Texas. Professionally, he is primarily interested in the field of private equity, yet he also hopes to make his mark on the cross-section between economics and foreign policy in the Middle East—specifically to find catalysts for the stagnant Jordanian economy.
